		THE SMALLEST AND LIGHTEST BROADBAND SATELLITE TERMINAL Half the size of a laptop and weighing less than 1 kg, the Nera WorldPro 1000 meets the toughest demands for portability. Built for persistent travel and bumpy rides, the terminal can be dropped onto concrete without breaking and works just as well in a dusty desert as in a humid rain forest. BROADBAND AND VOICE – SIMULTANEOUSLY With data rates of up to 384 kbps, users of the Nera WorldPro 1000 can make use of bandwidth-hungry applications on the move without experiencing any performance issues. Simultaneously, the same terminal can transmit toll-quality voice calls. COMPLETE FLEXIBILITY – INDOORS AND OUTDOORS In order to cater for comfortable and secure indoor usage in risky or inhospitable environments, the Nera WorldPro 1000 can be split into two units. Both USB, ISDN, Ethernet* and Bluetooth interfaces deliver further flexibility for users constantly adapting to new situations. NO PLUG – JUST PLAY The Nera WorldPro 1000’s one-patch antenna makes it extremely easy for a user to find the satellite communications signal. While cellular systems cover only selected areas, Nera WorldPhone makes almost the entire world accessible, see map below. SO MANY BENEFITS As well as phoning, you can also send and receive faxes, data, scanned images and e-mail. You can connect to a computer, external fax, second handset or a cordless phone. 		A WORLD OF COMMUNICATIONS As discreet and convenient as hand luggage, the Nera WorldCommunicator enables you to access the internet and send and receive e-mail, data files, fax and voice messages from one compact unit anywhere in the world. And where continuity of communication is vital, such as in airports and banks, the Nera WorldCommunicator also acts as an essential back-up in the event of land line failure. ONLINE ALL THE TIME WITH MOBILE PACKET DATA SERVICE (MPDS) With the Nera WorldCommunicator you will have at hand the essential business communications tools you depend upon everyday in your office. You will also have access to the newly available Mobile Packet Data Service (MPDS). This gives you a world of online applications such as the internet, Virtual Private Network (VPN) and e-mail. The added bonus is that the service can be ‘always on’ because you only pay for the data transmitted and received, not for the time connected.

		RELIABLE BROADBAND CONNECTIVITY Ideally suited for a small office environment, the Nera SatLink 1000 delivers up to 4 Mbps IP throughput and 2 Mbps on the return link. This enables reliable connectivity to a variety of broadband services, such as Internet, VPN, Voice over IP or video conferencing. OPEN STANDARD DVB-RCS is the only true open two-way satellite standard ensuring interoperability between equipment as well as vendor independence. DVB-RCS systems are extremely bandwidth efficient, resulting in much lower operating costs than traditional VSATs. Nera has been a driving force behind this globally adopted standard since its conception. REMOTE MANAGEMENT & EASY INSTALLATION The Nera SatLink 1000 can be software upgraded over-the-air, making it very simple for an operator to add new system features to all user terminals remotely. During installation, a novel command interface allows the network operator to take full control of the line-up remotely, reducing installation time to a minimum. The indoor unit works with a variety of transceivers, LNBs and transmitters and supports enhanced DiSEqC.

An upgrade path for even higher speeds is built into the product through an expansion slot for DVB-S2.
